Artist Statement:
I have always been very organic in my approach to the creative process. Most of my work is an interaction of materials with self to create an original work. I apply this process to material arts like textile and papermaking, as well as poetry and musical composition.
My favorite medium is fiber in any form. It is a tremendously mallable medium with a immense longevity. It amuses me to think my tapestry will long outlast most paintings. However, I do paint preferring watercolor in simple Japanese Sumi-like technique.
I have tremendous love of nature and the natural world appears in most of my work in a rather abstract way. I hope you enjoy my work. I will update this site monthly to keep it fresh....
