Artist Statement for Zafar Saeed Malik

I'm a born Pakistani with passion to click my camera. Photography for me will always be a technique though which I find a way to express my inner self as if for the very first time, the basic nature that lives and fluorescence within everything. I tend to make my images speak the music that not only is pleasing but can be deep in meanings too.
Photographing nature and its beauty gives me endless opportunity to capture the raw beauty of things, which generally get overlooked or walked over. I am at ease to lie down all crunched for long duration, trying to expose and capture my view on film. Or I can very simply add a macro lense or an extension tube to my camera body
and would drift into a whole new dimension of miniature side of nature.
Landscape in Pakistan has given me so very diversified image capturing options. From seashores to deserts to the highest mountain ranges or meadows in the world. Every place has its own story that needs to be exposed on film, from a view which can be very simple yet so very meaningful.
I enjoy portraits specially portrait of pre-teen children. Working with young ones brings the kid inside me out and makes me relive the days. So very innocent and expressive they are. It's a treat to capture the moment.
My creativity doesn't ends with images exposed on films or slides.
Digital enhancement has opened an all-new dimension and limitless
options to get creative and unique and it is with this aid that
I want to bring the best out of my images. I want the world to
see the different cultures within one big culture of Pakistan and
the world.
All the above inspired me to persue photography further, which eventually got me enrolled with New York Institute of Photography, USA. Here I got around to understanding the tools I used and tricks of the professional photographers trade. After my graduation from New York Institute of Photography, I now see my subjects in very differently, for now I know, I'm a photographer.
I seek promoters to back and promote my artwork.
