Artist Statement:
My work is influenced by
Sumi-e painting, the focus is
on the process: preparing my
palette, tools and vision of
the canvas. Each mark of my
brush meets the canvas as an
extension of my state of mind.

Flowers, I paint wet into wet
to capture the immediacy of
the bloom-many times sculpting
with a palate knife.
Landscapes and portraits
develop through many layers of
transparent paint to achieve
vibrant color effects. I
finish with a glaze to give
the surface a consistent
sheen.

I am expressing my love to
those that have helped and
supported my art spirit the
best way that I know how,
through painting....
