Artist Statement:
As a plein-air painter, I see
everything in terms of color,
from beautiful grays, to the
vivid bright color. I like to
paint these elements into my
still life, landscapes, and
seascapes, and of course
people. Anything and
everything with color,
capturing the effects of light
on color, is what inspires me
the most, and the mood that it
conveys in the composition and
how it describes form.
Hopefully the end result is
full of life.
I was born in 1950, in Dallas,
Texas, and have lived in AZ,
and CA, where I still spend
several months a year. I enjoy
traveling, painting and I love
teaching and helping others on
their own quest to express
themselves creatively. Since
much of my time is spent away
from home, it's always
refreshing to retreat to the
quiet beauty of Idaho and the
solitude of my home near Sun
Valley....
