Artist Statement for Jan-Thomas Ölund

I am a Swedish painter. Being paintings sins 1980. The goal of my artwork is to utilize various color harmonies and composition to visually engage the audience.I work from abstract to figurative landscapes. I have some minimalist inspiration in my work I want to find simpleness in my art.I am not so fond of details. I work impulsive.Sometimes color and form are enough to carry a painting I think.
