My Giclee prints are of my last four series of original oil paintings. Giclee prints (pronounced "zhee-clay" ) have the highest apparent resolution available today. My prints have the look and feel of original water colors.
My work is a statement on the human condition and the human experience. My art is divided into four series each using a different manner of describing that same statement . The four series and a brief description of each follows:
Astral Series
In this series I described through my art my visual concept of emanations - our physical and spiritual states in pictorial form. The physical transcending into the spiritual.
Symbol Series
Through this series I depicted the human condition. Creation, mystery, fear, loneliness and death. The inkings are done in the pointillist manner – through individual dots of ink. I also began to investigate more aggressive use of color as a statement.
Cross Series
In this series of seven abstracted “cross” forms I made full use of loose bright aggressive coloring with the powerful and sacred imagery of the cross. My colors scream to be heard as they make their statement.
Primal forces Series
Here I created a symbolic primitive society. They appear in the guise of masked and painted figures and exist in brightly colored and abstracted settings. They are representatives of humankind. They depict our beliefs, hopes, fears, anxieties and Freudian repressions. For my subjects, birth begins a journey into an imperfect world over which they have no control. The clown faces and painted bodies symbolize humanities’ foolishness as they seek to find meaning for their presence.
