Artist Statement:
Working with images from
currency, architecture and
everyday objects, I’m drawn to
the wonderful shapes I find in
the details of the details. In
them I have found an endless
supply of interesting lines
and patterns to work with.

I copy and enlarge the shapes,
transferring them to lino
blocks, which are then carved,
inked, and printed to paper.
Rather than destroying or
discarding the cut lino
blocks, I save and often
re-work them. They become part
of a library of material I use
in later prints. Over time I
modify and re-purpose many of
the plates, just as I do the
patterns and shapes they were
created from.
