Artist Statement:
I am primairly a portrait
artist,but I have been very
drawn to the symbology in
paintings of the masters. I
truly felt that symbology in
writings of author Lynn
Andrews. Her work inspired the
paintings in the portfolio.
Originally from Oklahoma, I
knew about the Indians because
my grandfather was half
cherokee. I received my BA
degree in Art in California.
After many years, I moved to
Nashville,TN. There my
portrait career just boomed,
and I was lucky enough to do
the portraits of Reba
MacIntire and Crystal Gayle.
I had numerous group exibits
and one woman shows. Over 20
of my paintings were published
as commisioned posters. 10
Paintings were published by
Visionary Publishing as note
cards. 2 years ago I
Illustrated a childrens story
book. My next project will
take on the subject of
healing.
