Artist Statement for Anita Putman
|
|
|
I have been creating art with a pencil or pen in my hand for as long as I can remember. I am primarily self-taught, receiving what instruction I can from books and demonstrations. I have always loved animals, wanting to become a veterinarian at one point in my life, so it seems only fitting that they become the primary source of inspiration in my art. Each creature that inhabits this earth is beautiful to me, with their own character and expressions that make them endearing, a potential model for me to try and capture on paper.
