Artist Statement:
My interest in digital art
began almost ten years ago. As
a photographer and a computer
engineering professional, I
realized the huge window of
opportunity offered by the
merging of those disciplines.
My imagination partially
limited by a mirror of
reality found a strong ally in
the computer technology. I
discovered the ideal tool for
giving my dreams and fantasies
a new meaning; I got a more
powerful instrument for
sharing my own emotions with
the public.
By generating an artwork I
live the hiker’s experience :
climbing is not easy, there
are many rocks on my path, I
sweat, sometimes I feel
breathless because of the
effort, I have to stop, to
take a break. Nevertheless, on
my journey towards the peak I
meet strange creatures flying
over the trees, or wandering
out from the depth of a
canyon, I am taken to
surprising fairy-tale worlds,
and just the boundaries of my
imagination limit the realm of
my fantasy. As I finally reach
the summit of the mountain,
as the exceptional vista of
the valley, the tiny
villages, the elaborate
tapestry of fieds is offering
my eyes the most stupendous
view, I feel rewarded with an
almost unbearable ...
