Artist Statement:
I combine intuitive painting
with architectural design to
create new translations of
space and form. Painting is a
tool for my creative passion.
After 20 years of
architectural exploration, the
morphosis of organic flow and
constructed fold inspire the
dualism of my painting
technique. I utilize both a
control of the medium and an
allowance of the accidental to
build and deconstruct the
multiple layers, transparences
and textures. I paint
outside on a horizontal
surface using acrylic, resin
and plaster to form organic
sculptural paintings. I
aspire to create works that
challenge the viewers
understanding of architectural
space and form.
