Artist Statement for R Christopher Vest

|
i am a photo-pictorialist, in the tradition of alfred stiglitz's group called the secessionists-- but now the concept is enlarged with the advancements in techniques made possible by the computer. like the secessionists of the early part of the last century, i embrace the manipulation of images, i draw, paint and etch upon them to the point that photography becomes painting.
all of my images will be offered as professionally printed gicleeŽ prints in editions limited to 50 signed and numbered pieces.
