Artist Statement:
The unique sculpted fine jewelry by academic sculptor Rea Boschi Gogolja is part of her “Sculpture to wear” opus.
Rea Boschi Gogolja’s unique sculpted jewelry is an extension of her artistic expression. Rea Boschi Gogolja utilizes similar materials in sculpting her jewelry as she does in her sculptures.
Rea Boschi Gogolja sculpts her jewelry out of sterling silver, gold, bronze, alpaca and copper wire, semi-precious gemstones, corals and crystal glass. In addition to standard jewelry items, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings and pins, various accessories like cufflinks, hairpieces, decorative headwear, tiaras and bags are available.
Rea Boschi Gogolja’s jewelry is thematically influenced by her studies in art history and more specifically art and jewelry of the ancient Roman and Greek cultures. Rea Boschi Gogolja encompasses the timeless artistic values of these ancient cultures and expresses them in her sophisticated and contemporary sculpted jewelry.
