Artist Statement:
I remember clearly the David´s
words in my first class of
painting, I was in a complete
estrange country, with a
complete new language. You
don´t need to speak english to
learn art, and it was the
starting point in the
adventure of ink, paintings
and colors.
Intermingled with the gestures
and feelings I´m trying to
capture,my work conveying the
best moments of recognition of
my inner self with a complete
new experience.
My work which is mainly
figurative, draws us into a
romantic, almost folk-tale
world and with my Mexican
heritage I want to achieve
distinctive flavor to my work.
Most of my paintings and
prints are joyful, colourful
and rarely enigmatic.
I found my own way of using
form, colour and composition,
to speak to the viewer
directly, not about angst or
pain, but about positive
emotions, with a particular
emphasis on a woman's life.

Welcome to Renata Lledias Martinez's Portfolio.
I remember clearly the David´s words in my first class of painting, I was in a complete estrange country, with a complete new language. You don´t need to speak english to learn art, and it was the starting point in the adventure of ink, paintings and colors.
