Artist Statement:
l don't think l can draw, but
ask me to make a picture out
of paper and l'm away... l
love the flat starkness of it,
the sometimes mathematical
precision needed to make
pieces fit. The four pieces
shown are all 99% paper
(splashes of watercolour to
background tissue paper), and,
although hard to see here,
every plank and ridge on the
weatherboard houses is a
seperate piece, every feather
also.
My themes vary from nature to
industrial, from realism to
fantasy, and no piece is ever
reproduced. l never suffer
from blank page anxiety, l
just cut it into something...
