Artist Statement:
Colour,form and texture are my
consistent loves coupled with
my strong feelings for the
unique and amazing Australian
environment. Birds, animals,
the landscape and the sea are
used to create evocative and
naturalistic art in
watercolour, mixed media amd
silk painting.
Born and bred in Sydney,
Australia, Rhonda trained at
the National Art School,
Sydney, before moving to
various NSW country regions,
teaching art at all levels,
proir to returning with her
husband to the coast at
Gosford just north of Sydney.
Rhonda has studied drawing,
painting, printmaking,
sculpture, papermaking and
silk painting.
She has won prizes in drawing,
still life, painting and
contemporary art. Rhonda has
taken part in group
exhibitions and painting and
printmaking, and her works are
held in public and private
collections throughout
Australia and worldwide....
