Perspective and method:
As a professor-teacher of art (painting, drawing, color and composition I have taught over the years, I expect the best out of each student and their talents and teach them correspondingly, in earnest, to command the best of their abilities of becoming better in their craft of visual learning. Art is communication. The forms of visual communication vary as materials and or stylistic influences but essentially they are the same. Art has a long history of quantitative practice and theory that is best illustrated in its history. I have worked with students of all ages, from children to adults. The visual language in its painted, drawn or composite form, or as best illustrated , especially in its professional terminology, can often be confusing. I am of the belief that Modern Art and its approach best utilizes traditional techniques with the influence of modern idiom. My approach to teaching is to utilize basic principles and concepts to augment understanding of the visual language.
