Artist Statement for Richard Taylor
|
|
|
Richard Taylor was born in Scarborough, UK in 1976 and now lives and works in Dublin after moving to Ireland in 2002. He achieved a distinction on a BTEC foundation course in Art & Design from The Yorkshire Coast College Scarborough and went on to gain a 2:1 Degree in Photography from Bolton University, Greater Manchester, UK.
Richard was trained in the traditional methods of photography, Darkroom processing, hand printing and studio production but embraced digital photography as its advancement progressed into the new millennium. He is currently working on projects involving both traditional methods and digital technology in a mixed media approach to his artwork. Alongside his artwork he takes on commissioned work.
