Artist Statement for Juan Ricolopez
|
|
|
Ricolopez is an artist from Spain, residing in Miami, Florida.
Featured in the Dictionary of Contemporary Spanish Painters and Sculptors edited in Madrid.
Ricolopez's work has been shown at " The Carlan Collection" in Palm Springs, California in 1993.
He showed his work at the " Port Royal Museum Gallery" in Naples, Florida and at " Aleksandra Galleries" in St. Petersburg, Florida.
He belongs to the International Painting Group of the Sixty One ( Tempra ) Gallery in London. He has been the " Featured artist " in "The Finest in the Midwest Shows '99" in Chicago, Madison and Milwaukee.
Participated in the " XXVII Salon de Realites Nouvelles " in Paris.
Collective exhibition of Spanish, Italian and French painters in The" Sixty One ( Tempra ) Gallery Limited" in London.
Awarded with the key of Miami Beach for his contribution to the artistic culture of Miami. Selected in INTERARTE-88 (International Fair of modern and contemporary art ). Featured in the 1990 edition of the "Les Editions Arts et Images du Monde.Prestige de la Peinture et de la Sculture d'Aujourd'hui dans le monde" in Paris.
His style is impressionistic- expressionistic with a very strong impasto of spontaneous brush strokes and heavy use of oil paint.
He paints landscapes, Still-Life, Figure and also creates beautiful, inspiring portraits.
