Artist Statement for Rina Miriam Drescher

|
|
I like to make drawings and paintings of people that are flawed and funny and reveal personalities that are a little bit complicated. I trust my instincts. I prefer fauvism and expressionism, and even abstraction, over photo-realism. I want to see something I haven't seen before when I look at art. When I draw and paint my goal is to draw or paint something new every time. Something that has never existed before. Something that only exists once.
