Black Revival Studio: I am a Black Fine Artist creating Fine Art,and Historical Art. I am full time professional Artist. I create Fine Art,historical Art, and Designs. I started creating art when I was 7 years old. I have my first show at age 15 in Columbus Ohio. I create from my heart, soul, and spirit. I graduated from Ohio Dominican College 1987 with B.F.A. I also attended the University of Cincinnati and Southern Colorado University in Pueblo.
I have had may shows over the last 31 years. I am evolving always as an artist. It have only began to scratch the surface of expression. There are so many stories to tell and not enough paint. I volumes of works.I do commission art and exhibitions also. I love what I do. I work on wood and canvas in mixed medium. I work on paper with anything I am drawn to. I am striving to be painter, but I work in pencils, oil pastels, and watercolors. I like to create texture and emotions in art. I want my audience to walk away feeling something and thinking color.
My subject matter is history, black history, Christian faith, and genre. I feel it is important to keep history alive in hopes to better understand where we are going. Positive image and true reflection of the diverse aspect of who we are as black people. I work from old photos from 1900's. I am creating a series now from photos from the 1940's-60's. I document history from an view of 'if I was there' what color would I have seen. Because one of my favorite artist is Diego Rivera I am striving to do more politico historical and modern art. Black history is very rich with subject matter and conflict so I hope to tap more into that area.
I am also a writer. I have finished 6 books that I have publish pn amazon.
