Artist Statement:
I paint mostly what I see to be real - but improved and enhanced and purified through the Spirit. The Painting and the Light within it - I do not know how it happens. I only know that I have to be still and listen to what I am supposed to paint - and a devine force takes me over. If I try to "handle" it on my own - my paintings have the skill and charm of infant scribbles.
I began painting after surviving a shooting incident. Shortly after my recovery I began to have the urge to paint. I had no prior talent or study in art, but the world looked so much different to me, I just had to paint it! I began to paint portraits of people's homes shortly after, and then personal portraits. Now, I also paint murals. I am so grateful for this gift that God has given me. It has been an incredible witnessing tool. Each painting seems to come from the spirit - because I know this is truly a gift. I am not capable of this kind of beauty on my own. Recently, I began making prints of my art and also reproducing my art...
