Artist Statement:
From the age of 6 Keni Robson has always drawn and painted. Starting from copying out of picture books to his own compositions and entering and winning school art competitions. At high school (it is known as secondary school in Scotland) he studied and received a certificate in Art & Design. This enabled him to get a place in the Glasgow School of Art university studying fine art techniques. This lasted from 1987-88. He spent 4 years after this at university studying and eventually receiving a 1st class honours degree in Computer Information Systems.
For the next ten years he embarked on a career in IT but attended night classes to further learn his art trade. He became disillusioned in the materialistic world that his career gave him and gave up this career to become a full time artist..
His mood-driven, eclectic, erotic, and sexual style was gained by Individual studies of old & 20th century masters and techniques and is a refreshing change to the mundanely accepted standard.
His mood & emotions dictate the subject matter and medium from which he creates his artwork.
