Born in Haiti, Roger Geaniton, writer, artist painter, member of International Associations of Art, studied art in Haiti (Académie des Beaux Art,United States (under the great master of painting technique Ives Doctore, in his studio at the Greenwich Village (N Y,),Canada (Ecole des Beaux Arts de Montréal, Université du Québec), and France (Ecole du Louvre
Exploring different techniques and mediums, he took part in many group exhibitions, biennals, in Italy, Monaco, France, Canada, USA. Creating paintings of extrairdinary color and depth, he has been involved in various shows, and many of his paintings have founded their way in private collections in Europe, USA and Canada. In 1971, he has been chosen by "L'Ecole Moderne de Hockey" to illustrate the Guy Lafleur's performance as a young hockey star. (See Journal de Montréal 5/18/1971. He obtained the first price for his charcoal technique at the Square of Arts, Montreal 1972. |
