Welcome to Ronak Kordestani's Portfolio.
My paintings bridge the gap between representational images and abstraction. Although recognizable objects are often depicted, human figures, footprints, trees and a crescent moon, they are blurred, distorted, and then delicately layered on a shadowy background. I like to create a mysterious, dreamlike atmosphere, otherworldly landscapes and images of unidentifiable people floating peacefully in an ambiguous space that comes from the deepest part of the unconscious mind.
In some of my works, I use warm colors to give the paintings an exotic or mystical appearance to make them stand out dramatically from the neutral surroundings. As the title of the ... |
