Artist Statement:
I explore the world in all its
microscopic wonder with the
camera lens. I tune in to the
small, the obscure, the
unexplored, and the unnoticed.
The resulting images are
photographic collages that are
arranged and affixed by hand,
so they retain a certain hands
on look. I use value contrast
to help preceive movement,
texture, shape, form, color,
light and focus. I'm basicly
interested in the space we
don't see and the ability to
bring that to the forefront
and share with the viewer.
It's the ability to bring
mundane objective forms to the
front and transform these
forms into a subjective seeing
that makes this work exciting
for me and hopefully the
viewer....
