| Biggest Artistic Inspiration |
Horses are clearly my biggest inspiration. I started riding at a very young age and immediately had a special connection with these large and magical animals. I have yet to out grow that experience (as my parents hoped I would many years ago). |

| Why Did You Become An Artist |
I made the transition from equestrian to artist while I was in college and was drawn into the art department somewhat unexpectedly. But horses have remained my primary inspiration. |

| Your Personal Biography |
My 15 year career as an artist follows closely a lifelong passion for working with horses. I attended the Equestrian Studies Program at Lake Erie College in Ohio where I, also, began my serious exploration of fine art. That exploration continued at the Cleveland Institute of Art and flourished at Louisiana State University’s College of Design, culminating in a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting and Drawing. My work has been inspired by my love of horses and the silent communication that can happen between animals and humans. My hope is to capture some sense of that experience: a moment, a look, an expression or mood, and enhance it through my own vision, use of color, light and composition.
My career as a professional gardener has offered its own inspiration and the continued celebration for me of nature’s own use of intense, vibrant colors.
My paintings have been featured on the 1998 and 1999 collectible posters for the HITS (Horses Shows in the Sun) Show Circuit, now in Saugerties, and also on the cover of Options Unlimited Magazine’s Guide to the Great Outdoors. My work can be found in numerous private collections and locally in cafes, restaurants, and other alternative venues. Note cards of selected pieces are also now available. Please contact me for more information.
