Reviews for Sandi Carter Brown:

“Sandi Carter Brown’s work, particularly her ceramic sculptures, seem to emerge from somewhere deep within her psyche. They seem to embody a complex imagination that beckons viewers to embark on their own journeys of discovery. Her sculpted figures are convulsed by emotions they don’t always comprehend filling them with wonderment and fear, exaltation and despair. Brown’s own experiences seem caught in these figures which also draw viewers in and invite them to mine their own deepest joys and fears."

WOW!!
Yes!
This is an incredible image. It is really striking! In fact, the entire office has just spent the past 20 min. looking and commenting on the image. Everyone had a completely different interpretation and experience -- a sign of great art. Thank you!! What a phenomenal gift! We would be happy to have the painting and will include it in our exhibit. If someone offers to buy it or if we decide we would like to auction it at some point I will of course call you first to discuss your criteria or conditions. This will be a fantastic public eduction tool and I hope it will motivate viewers to take action. Thank you!

RE: AWARD CONFIRMATION and TICKET

Dear Sandi,

On behalf of the Planning and Awards Committee, I thank you for agreeing to attend to receive your award this November. We are honoring worthy people who have made significant contributions in the prevention of child and adult sexual assault.
We admire both your courage and your art work. It takes great skill and expressiveness to do what you do, but your art also requires that final ingredient: of courage, to address the topic of sexual assault, as you have done so well. Your art has been shown at the 1990 Healing Pieces display in Providence, more recently at the 1999 To Tell The Truth event in Rhode Island, and at numerous other places. Those who have seen your displays of art, and also your slide presentations of it, can't help but appreciate you and feel grateful to you.

If you have any questions or concerns, please can me.
Frank Fitzpatrick at Survivor Connections:

Sincerely,

Frank Fitzpatrick,
President, Survivor Connections, Inc.

Sandi,
Just wanted to shoot you a quick message and let you know just how much I appreciate the wonderful picture of my boys! I LOVE IT!!! Can't wait to get it framed and up on the wall! You did such a marvelous job of capturing them!!! Their eyes are just perfect and melt me everytime I look at them! Thank you so much for putting so much work into their picture...it definitely shows through in your work, just how much talent you have and how much you care about each picture you paint! Thank you for sharing your talent with us!!!
Have a great night and see you soon.
Kristin
