Artist Statement for Sandi Carter Brown
|
|
|
I am a published award winning artist and have appeared in both magazines and newspapers. I have also made several television appearances. I have exhibited my work in 5 states and currently have a painting entitled "WE ARE" Children of Darfur, on international tour with Africa Action.
I have been very involved in "Activist Art" and have won several awards. I am a Survivor of Child Abuse and much of my Healing Work is shown through out this Portfolio.
My work has lagged over several years due to a disability....but since getting better I have resumed creating...even better than before.
My true passion is Sculpture.
