Artist Statement:
I have been working as a
copywriter in advertising for
12 years, when I realised that
I had to take a break, I left
the agency where I was the
Creative Director to fly to
Berkeley California, which I
consider my second home. I was
there on September 11.
Something happened. I just
started painting. When I got
back to Italy I could not keep
the images inside, I had to
let them live their own life.
But a two dimension space was
not enough. That's how it all
started. In May 2002 I had my
first exhibit. It was an
unexpected big success. I
couldn't believe it when
Enrico Pieranunzi, a famous
jazz composer who played with
Chet Baker among the others,
asked me if he could use one
of my sculpaintings for the
cover of his new CD, Perugia
Suite.
I am very satisfied with my
work as an artist. I still
work in communication as a
freelance, and because of my
great passion for good food
and wine, I am a consultant
and a guide for tourists and
travellers who want a unique
food experience in Rome. My
