Artist Statement:
Pamela Witzke, known as the artist SCARLET, was not an artist early on in life.
Having had a successful career and education, then forced to give them up due to extenuating health circumstances, Pamela did not find the medium of Art until later on in life. Extreme Digital Imagery, which is her art form, is a relatively new concept, having been developed only since 1998. The concept is using Digital Imagery and creating images that visually can be considered "outside of the box". Inotherwords, irrational in nature, not conforming to any standards of harmony or balance, giving the presentation of what one doesn't expect in rational, logical terms yet using subjects/objects that are. Visually the art should be clear and concise, no blurs blips or blobs yet leaving a question-mark like impression on the viewer. It is very close to Surreal art. So far the art form itself has been limited to the Internet in nature/source.
