Your Personal Biography "Painting has been a wonderful hobby and past time in my life. Without any education in the arts, I have found a love for painting that is much deeper than anyone can teach. I attended Denbigh High school in Virginia and spent eight years flying in attack helicopters for the Marines in Atlanta, Georgia. While flying during the day, I attended college for four years studying Criminology and Sociology in the evenings. I have always loved art and doing it, but it was not until the later part of 1996, that I really started painting vigorously. I have always had an artistic background, drawing pictures like any normal kid, I just had the patience to try new things and practice harder than most people. I am still learning and growing as an artist and am learning something new every day.

In addition to my creative side, I have a Master's of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business and a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business Management with Information Technology concentration. I am pursuing a doctorate soon focusing on concentration in finance and economics. Working for Hunt, Guillot and Associates (www.hga-llc.com) in Louisiana as a project controls manager, project cost engineer and senior database analyst, I am involved in managing/tracking over $1 billion in State and Private Contracts. I created and now manage Louisiana's fist website database system that is being used by State and Federal agencies to monitor funded infrastructure projects. These projects involve work being due to the effects of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Making the Internet business experience efficient and enjoyable, I work part time as a Graphic/Web designer for select companies and non-profit organizations. Unlike many web design and hosting companies, I custom design web presence from basic html and java coding. This eliminates the redundancy of pre-set forms and templates, which then allows me to fully customize web presence based on organizational, creative, and product goals. I also work as a Director of Technology for a private academic institution in the Atlanta area as well as a marketing, cost/finance, and business developer for several domestic and international companies. Using my creativity, knowledge, and experiences, I am able to help businesses discover increased benefits through detailed cost analysis, cost control, business development, and strategic planning.

Because I enjoy exercising both sides of my brain, I finally get to expend my energy from the more creative side. This is where I get to relax and engage myself into my paintings. When I am not painting pictures, I spend most of my time playing with my daughters, writing music, and playing guitar and piano. This is where I can generate most of my creative energy, lose myself into the music, and then turn my ideas to the canvas. Sometimes my daughters assist me in painting my works, which adds to their life and mine.

After receiving some awards for some of my earlier paintings, it only gave me more incentive to keep going back in 1996. I started to paint portraits about this time. Working as a Marine, attending school and working other jobs on the side, I painted portraits and other baroque style paintings to keep my creative energy going. This motivation and attitude carries over into my time today. My works drape the walls of many homes and galleries from California to Georgia, Grenada, and even in London.

As the years go by, my goal has always been to better myself as an artist and as a person. God gave me something special so I can make a difference, and every painting that comes from my heart and my hands makes that difference. So, I share with you what I hope will bring you the same joy as it has me..... www.portraitpainter.com
