Artist Statement:
Born 05/17/1972 in Ruit, close
to Stuttgart/Germany
1993, after school, I started
studying energy engineering at
the technical University of
Stuttgart and graduated 2001
as Diploma Engineer
specializing in energy
concepts.
Since 08/2000 resident in
Berlin
Drawing and Painting
I am a self-taught artist and
started drawing and painting
around 1990. 1993 I created my
own style by drawing faces
only with a few of lines. The
first Oil-Paintings were
realized this year. In the
following years, I processed
these faces to portraits,
including the specific mental
characters of persons. Most of
these drawings were realized
with coal on Paper and were
going to private collections.
As one of the original
founding members I am playing
the bass guitar of the well
known Berlin Reggae-Band
MASOUD, touring throughout
Germany.
Since summer 2002 I am in
continuous work with the
artist Uli Trepte (founding
member and concept maker of
Guru Guru in the later 60s,
composer, painter and writer).
His experience of life and
arts influences me in a strong
and basic view of modern art.
In April 2003 I changed to my
primary medium Oil. The
concept of this new period is
