Artist Statement:
Looking at organic form and shape, Susan explores these areas using new technology in the new digital age. These peices have a life of their own and also have a story to tell in the form of a narrative. They have both alien and terrestrial elements which are Intrinsically part of the image as a whole. These abstract and beautiful images seem strangely familiar, with parts of these images depicting the simple things in life. This is what attracts Susan to them, something which can not be nailed down and is ever changing, evolving and challenging her artistic nature............
Susan is currently undertaking a Post Graduate MA course in Collaborative Practices in the Creative Industries. This course is situated within the reading of the new cultural economny and the professional working practices of creative practitioners. It is designed to enable creative practitioners to research and develop a practice that is innovative, flexible and tailored to the specific professional and business development of contemporary society.
