Artist Statement:
A native of Toronto, Ontario, I paint in acrylic and feed passion into each piece.
Formally trained and continually expanding my studies, I have come full circle in my career. I have been a student, the teacher, the experimenter. For the past 25+ years, I have spent most of my career as a commercial artist, as an illustrator and Art Director in retail advertising.
The 80's kept me busy as an airbrush illustrator, which I loved. I challenged my craft outside of my commercial mold, by painting murals for establishments throughout Ontario. The 90's delivered the computer, and so, another dimension in the creative process. Now I'm sharing my love for photography, and walks along nature trails with you.
Pieces of Canada's Nature from Toronto's green spots, Algonquin Park fauna, floral from the East Coast, and Vancouver's rain swept mountainside . It's that spiritual moment of catching a butterfly land on a flower, or the frog that has just landed at my feet, that I wish to capture.
Form and colour are what drives me to explore my feelings on canvas. I like to spend spring and fall seasons photographing nature, for my clients. ...
