The artiste Shmuela Padnos has opened her own gallery at 2126 Magazine St. in New Orleans named salone dell' artes ARTEMISIA finest gallery in new orleans. Jackson Ave. is the nearest cross street. THE GALLERY is old european looking with a juke joint like courtyard. Now exhibiting her series Gypsie Lore, Bon Ami, and Women of Valor and Musicians in the courtyard. The gallery also features Elaine Gleasons' wrought iron lamps and mystical iron septors and wands. Ponderosa stomp tradeing cards in 2 sets of 25, jewelry hand made by the artist and recently Libby Brightons' going to Market green friendly with vintage button makin grocery bags in bright lovely colors. The Ogden Southern Museum of Art is now selling 25 musical tradeing cards of artists who have played the Ponderosa Stomp in 2 sets on Camp in New Orleans. ART from the gulf reflections on katrina pryramid atlantic art center may 9-june 16 25 artists from katrina will exhibit outside washington d.c. and then travel to the south and end at xzavier university in new orleans. a new orleans venue will feature 20 paintings and benefit habitat for new orleans more details to follow. coming up in florida a group show in november at mary woerner fine arts in wpb florida and september will be my awesome teachers' show caeser cirigliano in florida all of his students will make a statement and exhibit a painting with him. this is very exciting for my 98 year young teacher part of the students art league of nyc with george gros and john sloan so if you are down that way check it out. talk of me the al doing something in minnie mn. cowgirls callgirls and indian girls coming in jackson hole,wy,usa the new orleans music exchange corner of louisiana street an exhibition of all those music bad(as in really good for all you unjived cats) boys and girls from times past like robert johnson from itta bena mississippi and good ole cowgirl singin them vibrata blues patsy cline as well john coltrane badsaxman and many more even from time present like john moonman mooney. if you got some mo in you jo be there.leavin the west for a little while to work on what may become a series of paintings dealing with biblical scenes. of course it will have the shmoo twist. the first painting is of sampson holding his beautiful locks of freshly cut hair. this is inspired by iras hair butchering. soon to be followed by female heroines villians and patriachs. the white of the vast canvas awaits me. also a show is brewing for the sculptor al wadzinki who you can see at the dixies resturant on the calhoon web site and myself. will be exciting.
