|
These new paintings are a recording of current and past events in my life. These portraits are intimate and personal interpretations of self perception, love, and religion.
The beliefs and fears instilled in me from childhood have influenced my self disenchantment of the human spirit. In the past few years I have searched to free myself from these preconceived ideas and thoughts that have haunted me for years.
During the past years of detachment and alienation from family, religion and relationships have allowed me to find an inner peace.
These paintings capture my painful lessons and humbling experiences as a woman and a child.
