Artist Statement:
You are here because you are interested in my work and I thank you. You may have noticed that each piece shown is a different style, I'm still finding myself artistically. I think we all are. I do have series of each style and you can find them at http://www.crosswinds.net/~shur inov/index.htm
Coming into being and creative work of Alexander Shurinov is indissoluble connected with Crimea, although he was born in Cherkassi, in the family of serviceman. Then, there was Crimean Art College named after Samokish, which Alexander has successfully finished in 1972. In 1976 he entered Lvov Polygraphic institute named after Ivan Fedorov. Since 1973 he began to take part in cities', regional, republican, All-union and international exhibitiions. Since 1988 - he is the member of artists' Union of USSR and then Ukraine. Now he is 50 years old....
