I was inpired to be an artist after watching the works of dore, escher, leonardo, rembradnt, picasso and dali. I enjoyed the trip but I needed their skills. So now that I have them, thank you guys.
I never found it interesting to try modern art
I don't believe in modern or old only in good and bad art
So I've found my interests in exploring my subjects, deep.
(which can't be bad) and I'll describe my experience in a visual form.
I would like to tell you a short story about my mentor
i met Victor Honigman the first time at my parents house my stepfather was a chief and editor of "ba-ma-ha-neh" the army official magazine and victor was looking for a job as an illustrator he was a new immigrant from peru and a holocaust survivor as a young art student i discovered the magic of art victor could perform perfect drawings of figures in any position from any direction beautifully animated and chracterized i was stunned and new right there that's my art fotunatlly enough our families hooked up on holidays and so but my stupidity ego and circumstances prevented me to learn four years later i participated in group show at the national gallery "habima" leading us was lev shtieman a russian immigrant and a certified teacher proudly i invited victor to my show there were articles about me in the magazine "la isha" telling the public a story about me and my family and tv camera in the lobi as we walked toward the paintings in the hall victor announced:the teacher can't paint so in horror i asked for an explanaition and that's what victor said:" in my experience the most difficult object to paint by far are hands therefore it's the best way to determine one's talent and education artists that excel in drawing hands show it and artists who can not draw them well hide them now you can decide by yourself unfortunatlly victor was right but the same for me this time i asked him very nicelly if he's willing to teach me his craft and he loved the idea and that's how victor became my teacher my friend my mentor and my family he shared with me his experiences in the concentration camps as a partizan refugee his immigration to peru the local community there about art and philosophy today his wife sonia lives in peru and his two daugters janet and heidy are living in holland
Pablo Picasso an Salvador Dali
this two very successful artists in terms of wealth fame and accomplishments made it in their own way picasso as "intelectual" an
concept
conceptual art in general is a dubious proposition.
if the artist michaelangelo is to be judge by concept.
the horns instead of lightrays and moses appearance in general
will fail him miserably. so concept is a bonus not essential.
creativity
to my observations
a burst of creativity occures when the artist is saturated
mentally with information about the subject.
hypothesis
this is the link between artists development and their creativity
artist and his personality are one so learning promote creativity
"visual comparison" base judgement
contrary to other methods or nonjudgmentality
by way of comparison we judge everything
beauty sience performence philosophy religion
wisdom and art here the mona lisa is a
reference to other paintings
and a beacon for the "next art"
dali as "a rebel" their outstanding painting abilities inovation and dedication to their work constanly reminding us that exellence pays big time if you lucky in their appearance as well as demeanor they set the standard to us all
realism is not just a concept it's the reason for art and it's succsess in the history the ability to describe accuratly and truthfully idea you wish to render on a media require talent skills and other qualities artists must have from within and from the world realism is the truth and the beauty as a base for exploration and a visual description of the journey and it's the way to evaluate art that what realistic discription is all about and any diviation from realism is surrealism which is realism with a "twist" therefore unreal but expressive and impressive art can qualify for realism because it's just a style the demand for high performance from realist artists created opposition from "artists" who still want to be engaged in art making despite lack of artistic abilities in the first place and as a result they create vague art and vagueness is a greate safe harbor against any criticizm realism is eazy to judge but hard to do so if by any chance you don't understanding art remember it's the artist resposibility to initiate the communication and any attempts to divert this responsibility to the viewer is actually a failoure to produce good art or should i say realism figurative realism stretches artists talent and skills to their max they need to negotiate the most difficult object to portray the human body realistically one of the reasons it's so hard is because it's not like any primitive geometric forms like sphere cylinder cone and a boxes that we eassily understand the human form is a unique organic object that varies and is called figurative "figurative realism" is a fussion between this two and it's the most chalenging but intelectually emotionally and techincally rewarding so to sum it up the artist messured by his talet to apply realism or quality to a substancial quantity of art pieces now if the answer to one of this qualities is negative or ungenuine the person is not an artist he's something else a person is the sum of his or her daily activities and if art it is he's an artist and if he can master figurative realism he is a good one
