fascinating and magical
aspects of photography. The

Why Did You Become An Artist I am fascinated by the way the camera captures a moment in time. A moment is so fleeting, so unreal in some sense, there is no stillness in a moment. The camera captures and freezes this time and space and creates an incredible abstraction of something so common. I love the way photography allows me to bring order in the small view finder behind the camera. The way I can focus on a particular reality from so many opportunities around me. I love the idea of arranging all these external elements in an aesthetically pleasing way. I love understanding the mark-making system of each camera, technique, and processing options that enhance my perspective. Photography allows me to stop and contemplate the fleeting moment we so often take for granted.
