Artist Statement:
I studied art at ACU in the
late 60's, though I got my MRS
and BABY before I could get a
dregee.
I married a preacher boy and
we moved to Africa, where we
worked for the Church for 7
years.
Those were days that little
artwork got done.
Seven more years of living in
South Africa and loving it
then the sanctions hit South
Africa and by this time I was
a single mother.
Understandably, being an
American citizen ment that I
could not get a job with a
living income.
My daughter and I moved back
to Texas in 1986. I got a job
driving city busses in Austin,
Texas.
One vacation I remembered I
was an artist at heart and
bought some paint and
canvases. Sis and me played
and played and voila, we came
up with a unique style.
As I have time, space and
materials I paint. The
combination of those 3 things
doesn't come available as
often as I would like, so I am
offering to sell these.
God has given me a gift,and I
loving to paint.
Many people inspire me and
lead me to follow my dream.
