Artist Statement:
Alan Damms produces high
quality limited edition prints
of sporting scenes and
characters, many signed by the
subject. After a busy career
in the financial services
industry in Sheffield,
England, Alan has taken up
painting full time following
his early retirement, thus
combining his two loves of art
and sport.
Working in acrylics and
sometimes in oil, Alan aims to
recreate famous sporting
occasions and to capture
sportsmen, predominantly
soccer players, in action.
Alan has a close association
with Sheffield United Football
Club, where his paintings are
exhibited in the club's Hall
of Fame.
If you have a favourite sports
personality or event you would
like to see captured in an
exclusive painting, Alan is
happy to accept commissions.
Commissions are also
undertaken for any other
subjects such as portraits,
pets, homes, etc. All he
requires is a photo or photos
to work from. For details of
