Artist Statement for Ross Hendrick

|
I have always naturally produced artwork with a humorous side to it. The world of cartooning was something that always appealed to me, and I managed to start selling cartoons professionally in the late 90s. I have worked for the acclaimed comic The Beano, as well as drawing satirical cartoons and caricatures for newspapers and magazines.
Satire has always been inspirational to me and it has spilled over from my cartoons into other areas such as animation, and over the past few years I have been working on a series of cartoony paintings representing modern Britain.
