Artist Statement:
Stephen Lucas is an unique
and accomplished fine art
painter. He is a native of
Los Angeles, California. He
attended Ventura College
School of Fine Art in Ventura,
CA., and McCrady Fine Art
School in New Orleans, LA. He
has been a painter for more
than 20 years. He and his
manager and wife, Debra, work
fulltime at establishing his
career as a successful and
influential contemporary fine
artist.
With hundreds of collectors
from around the world,
Stephen's reputatuion is
rapidly growing in an
international market.
In 1998, a new dimension was
added to his career portfolio
when major motion picture
studios and major national
television networks brought
his art to film!
His stunning and compelling
paintings are
non-representational abstracts
in acrylic or watercolor on
various surfaces. He says,
"When painting, I seem to
highly focus and zone-out at
the same time. It is the
harmonious fusion between my
"Beingness" and my "skill"
that produces my imagery. I
went to art school, I was
taught technique and how to
see and draw the figurative
world around me. But
expression is from the soul,
there are no rules, and truth
is only to be found deep
within each...
