Artist Statement:
Born in Edmonton Alberta, I
am currently living in
Vancouver British Columbia. I
have a Fine Arts degree from
the University of Alberta
where I specialized in
painting and photography.
My abstract paintings are a
result of my fascination with
colour and light.
The process involves a
layering of colour upon colour
and often the removal of paint
to reveal layers of colour
underneath. I will usually
work on several canvasses at a
time so as to allow each
painting to have a fresh and
spontaneous quality.
