Artist Statement:
My interest in the medium is
wide and varied, which
encompasses Fine Art, Fashion,
fetishism and portrait. My
style, nevertheless, always
remain the same, simple, bold
graphic images whether they
are sharp or grainy. I am
fascinated with the beauty and
sensuality of women in general
and the black woman in
particular. These images are
pure fantasy, spiritual and
sometimes erotic. Conceived in
my mind, styled and designed
on paper then captured
digitally or on film. I will
go to extreme length to create
the painterly like quality of
some of my fine art photos by
utilizing special films,
lighting and filters. I also
sometime like to give my art a
gritty textural quality, which
also take them away from
reality and more
impressionistic.
About The Print:
I make my own `Giclee prints
so that I have complete
creative control of my work. I
use archival matte papers and
canvas to print on and
printing is done on Epson
printers with eight color
archival inks, which gives the
prints under proper conditions
an archival life in excess of
100 years.
