Artist Statement:
Suzanne especially loves
encaustics and acrylic
collages because her art is
about color, flow and texture
and these two mediums help
accentuate her work to the
fullest. They are the
language and the tone she
wants to express even before
she has an idea about the
images being brought forth.
With encaustics and acrylic
collage, the subject matter
seems to come to her without
having to work for it. For the
most part pictures just appear
as she works with the
mediums. She doesn’t expect
anything from her art except
the feeling of satisfaction
gained from the painting
itself. Most of her works are
abstractions of what she sees
in nature or envisions in
fantasies. Some are emotional
images that come alive as she
visualizes her feelings. She
is always delighted when
others see their stories in
her pictures...
