Artist Statement:
The artist has been painting
for more than fifteen years.
She attended Burlington
College and graduated in May
of 2007. A combination of
animals and women complete the
circle of powerful energy and
beings that she attempts to
portray in her art. Art of
women in labor, midwives,
families, uncontrolled labor,
and natural cycles are what
inspire her. She often paints
wildlife as well, for she has
a great respect for their
natural instincts and survival
skills. Her desire is to be
able to portray pregnancy and
childbirth as it truly can be,
natural, safe and under no
outside control or boundaries.
She offers her services to
women who would like to have
their own birth pictures
expressivley portraid on to
canvas, wether it be of their
labor, pregnancy, family, etc.
