Artist Statement:
A Short
Bio...
I am an artist that can't
paint, draw, or sculpt,
therefore
I am a photographer. That is
why I capture
images on film, as an
expression of
what I think is interesting;
what I
find humorous; what I think is
beautiful;
and what I think will tell a
story.
To me, the world is a
boundless photo
opportunity. That is my simple
philosophy.
I have been taking pictures
since high
school and have traveled
throughout
North America and Europe to
capture
my over 5,000 images.
In my quest for the great
"shot", I have sat with
Elk grazing in Yellowstone,
produced
a smile from an elderly
caretaker of
a cliff top church in Sicily,
sat for
hours waiting for a pod of
Killer
Whales that never appeared
only to be
spellbound by a lighthouse and
a sunset,
and to have been licked by a
hungry
giraffe.
I share these images with you
in the hopes that you will
gain some
pleasure in viewing them. Use
your
imagination, pretend that you
are the
observer, make up your own
story. Please
allow me to be your guide…
