Artist Statement for Sylvia Broubalow

|
It is not a question of what I do, but who I am... I do mostly acrylics with some watercolors. Abstracts seem to be my forte. I generally work on only one or two paintings at a time and I choose my subjects by what delights and captures my imagination. I want my paintings to mean something different to each person who looks at them. Painting is Gods gift and my desire is to use it to bring joy to others. My ultimate satisfaction comes from continually inventing and improving myself. I belong to the Arts Community of Easton, PA, The Pocono Arts Council, Smithtown Arts Council in NY, Woman Made Gallery in Chicago and the Bethlehem Palette Club. I am currently attending Northampton Community College for Fine Arts. On a personal note I am single and have 2 sons, 7 grandsons and I enjoy drawing, painting, listening to music, gardening, camping and spending time with my family and friends. My Ultimate Dream is to be in a NYC Gallery and then one day own a gallery in NYC.
